Lainie Hill

Psychologist, Team Leader

I have worked as a Psychologist in the South Burnett since 2009 providing counselling and assessment to children, adolescents and adults and established as a sole practice in the area. In 2024 my practice expanded into Seeds of Growth Psychology. I now focus on supporting and training new career psychologists.

I enjoy travel, which is fortunate as Seeds of Growth Psychology operates between Fernvale and Murgon.

My professional interest is in the importance of lifestyle factors and social engagement in the maintenance of our mental health.  I am experienced in a range of therapeutic models, however ensuring my clients are understood and supported in my primary focus in sessions.

Jason Carlson

Psychologist

I have a passion for electronics, programming, video games and Batman. Yes, I am a nerd. Curiosity drives me.

My preferred therapy approach is practical foremost, giving you actionable skills from the first session. My therapy style is largely based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), often including elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation and skills training.

I have over five years’ experience in psychology in treating a broad spectrum of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.

Cherylin Buttle

Psychologist

Psychology has always been a natural home for me. Even as a child, I was endlessly curious, constantly asking “why” and trying to understand the world around me. That curiosity grew into a deep fascination with human behaviour—how people think, feel, and navigate their lives across different environments. The stories people carry have always left me wanting to understand not just why they do what they do, but how their experiences shape them.

During my internship and throughout the four years I’ve practiced as a psychologist in the South Burnett, I’ve continued to nurture that curiosity with compassion and professionalism. My aim is to create a safe, grounded space where authentic rapport can flourish. For the hour we share together, I want my clients to feel they can show up exactly as they are—seen, heard, and supported.

Kylie Plant

Psychologist

As a psychologist in private practice, I enjoy working with people across the lifespan. I’m passionate about psychological assessment and counselling for children, young people and adults, with a focus upon supporting wellbeing, self-compassion, and practical life skills.

I have also worked as an early childhood teacher and continue to work part-time as a guidance counsellor, giving me extensive experience supporting young people in school settings.

My main therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I aim to create a warm, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, and where we can work together to build skills and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you.

Rachel Puckeridge

Administration Officer

When you call us, you will usually speak with me first!

I have been a part of the company for 3 years now. I have a Bachelor of Business from Torrens University and a background in administration and customer service. I love the work/life balance here at Seeds, which allows me to be there for my family as it grows and support the clinicians from our base in Fernvale.

When I’m not at work, you will find me cross-stitching, supporting our family drag racing team or watching my favourite NRL team, the Melbourne Storm, play.
